Delaine Leonard Fedson is the harp instructor at the University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music, Southwestern and Winthrop Universities, and current President of the American Harp Society, Inc. As a pioneer Suzuki harp teacher and registered Suzuki Association of the Americas harp teacher trainer, she promotes Dr. Suzuki's approach to music education for the harp at national and international workshops, festivals and conferences. She is the founding director of the Young Texas Harp Ensemble, a non-profit dedicated to providing access and opportunity for harp study to students of diverse populations. Her former teachers include Margaret Rupp Cooper (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Mary Green Beckman (BM, University of Northern IA), Alice Chalifoux (Salzedo School), Gayle Horne Barrington (MM, University of Texas at Austin), and Mary Kay Waddington.
Eileen Meyer Russell is an Associate Professor of Music in the Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and Principal Trombonist in the Round Rock (Texas) Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Meyer Russell is a classically trained performing artist on trombone and euphonium, with degrees from the Jacob's School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana (Bachelor and Doctor of Music) and the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa (Master of Music). She studied with M. Dee Stewart at IU and with Jon Hansen at UNI. Dr. Meyer Russell has published articles about brass pedagogy and on the use of technology in the classroom and the applied music studio in The Horn Call, the Instrumentalist, the International Trombone Association Journal, the International Tuba Euphonium Association Journal, the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors Journal, and the Southwestern Musician. She has presented clinics, papers or performances throughout the United States, in Germany, in Jamaica, and at College Music Society national and regional conferences, International Trombone Association festivals, International Tuba Euphonium Association conferences, Midwest International Band and Orchestra conferences, the New York State School Music Association conference, the Texas Bandmasters Association conference, and Texas Music Educators Association conferences. Dr. Meyer Russell previously taught at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan, Del Mar College in Corpus Christi Texas, and Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana. She is Trombone Clinician and Artist Representative for C.G. Conn/Selmer Musical Instruments.
