Lawrence David Eden received his Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Music from The University of Miami’s Frost School of Music in 1973 and his Masters Degree in Music Education from The American University in 1975. He studied theory and composition with Clifton Williams and Alfred Reed and arranging with Keith Laurent.
Mr. Eden recently retired from a 36 year teaching career in Prince George’s County Public Schools where he taught Instrumental Music.
Mr. Eden is the Leader of The M Street Brass Quintet that he cofounded in 1978. Mr. Eden plays tuba in the Quintet and does much of the arranging. He is also a freelance bassist in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
