Rather than intending to elicit a strong emotional response from listeners, this elegant music is designed to showcase the compositional craftsmanship and stimulate the intellect. This work makes a wonderful addition to a concert and is especially appropriate for performances in a church setting. An optional bassoon part is included to cover part 3 in case an English horn player is not available.
