Robert M. Madeson entered St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota
and began pursuing Music Education. In 1979 he graduated and entered the
Army in March of 1979 to pursue music in the military bands. Tours of duty
at the School of Music, Naval Amphibious Bass - Little Creek (VA), 8th.
Army, Seoul, Korea, Fort Bliss (TX), Fort Campbell (KY) , and Fort Benning
(GA). While at Fort Benning Mr. Madeson earned a Master's Degree in Management
Science from Troy State University.
During Mr. Madeson's military career, he has been active as a soloist,
clinician, and in charge of many brass ensembles. He has also been active
as an arranger; his arrangements are performed throughout the United States,
Europe, and Japan.
During his graduate study at UT El Paso he helped run the 1992 Southwest Horn
Workshop, has been soloist with the 62nd Army Band, and has performed as soloist
in the 1994 UTEP Concerto-Aria Concert.
